One of a three part series.
The Ten Commandments for Deacons casts a vision for the biblical role and responsibilities of deacons in the local church. Other studies, The Ten Commandments for Church Members and The Ten Commandments for Pastors will help church members see the balance of shared ministries in all three church groups: pastors, deacons, and members.
Are you discouraged in ministry? Listen to Pastor Wayne Barber as he takes us on a journey through some of the writings of Paul and see how your life can be a letter to Jesus. The theme of this session is encouragement.
Ko-Lay-Oh: Retaining Membership Through Involvement
Part 1 of 2:
Recent studies have indicated a 60% dropout rate among new church members within five years after they join. What can be done to keep new members involved in church? The Ko-Lay-Oh Seminar offers an answer that churches are beginning to use among their membership. Ko-Lay-Oh is a Greek word that means to glue or weld together; to join or to cleave to. Joining a membership roll is not that same thing as becoming a part of the church ministry plan. Ko-Lay-Oh seeks to bridge that gap.
